“Beloved actor and comedian Robin Williams passed away Aug. 11 at the age of 63 in a suspected suicide after a long battle with depression,” reports Melissa Locker on TIME.com.
The comedian—who died in his home in Tiburon, California—had been married to Filipino-American Marsha Garces in 1989. They had two kids, Zelda Rae and Cody Alan. In 2010, Williams and Garces finalized their divorce.
However, Williams revealed in an interview that he had been quite fond of his Filipino father-in-law. He also said that his children kept in touch with their Filipino relatives.
Williams then married Susan Schneider in 2011. He also has a son, Zachary, by his first wife, Valerie Velardi.
