Joey Marquez: Funny, yes; But sexy???

No doubt about it, actor Joey Marquez is funny. He’s a comedian, after all, and is known for hit sitcoms and movies.

But sexy? Erm, not really, right? But the funyguy swears that he’s been feeling very sexy lately and that he’s even getting a lot of action. “Dating, going out, mingling with the younger crowd!” he says.

It’s no secret that the actor once suffered from hairloss. “I started losing my hair in my 30s. Back then, people thought I was already in my 40s. It was the hair eh. Hairloss made me look 10 years older, I felt like it, too.”

Joey shares that he was even called names and made fun of and that he felt really bad about it. “I laughed with them but the comments really affected me. My confidence and self-esteem suffered. Especially my appeal! Especially that! Women called me kuya or uncle! That was one of the lowest points of my life.”

The comedian, who is turning 56 years old this year, is now the endorser of Svenson, which tackles hairloss problems. And he’s very glad about this partnership because Svenson gave him real results; Joey, after all, did try other treatments – even from the US – and was left disappointed. So now, after an anti-hairloss program under Svenson, Joey has more hair and has regained his confidence especially when in front of women.

He says, “Thicker hair makes you look younger and presentable. Not only having hair, having healthy hair is really important. It shows that you’re health-conscious. For me, it also makes you more of a man because it gives you confidence. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that having great hair attracts women. They find it sexy and appealing talaga when you have a good head of hair that they can touch, pull, or hold on to. It definitely adds to your pogi points.”
